Sore feet – part II
The first day of the walk was at times tough, at times boring, at times wet. Definitely wasn’t the best day of the weekend. Long and arduous, I certainly did have sore feet – especially on the last decent into camp.
Camp meant food – Sweet and sour pork with rice for dinner, backed beans and malt loaf (not together) for breakfast.
Day two was decidedly better. I’m not sure if it was due to the fact that I walked on my own or that at one point the mist came in and I could see nothing further away than about 20 meters. That was an experience. Some of the group admitted that it was scary – I thought it was great. to be close enough to people you can hear them but almost a world away not knowing where they are. I got to test my navigation skills as well – brilliant.
All in all the weekend was very enjoyable and I am getting a more positive attitude to my walking without doubt.
Plan – get up and walk out!
